Six years ago I went through an ongoing tragedy and trauma. Life is filled with tragedies and traumas as well as beauty and bliss. The great gift of this human life is that we get to experience it all. We get a front row seat to all that being human has to offer.
As a child, I was a natural meditator. I reveled in my inner landscape. As the events of the tragedy unfolded, my ability to meditate escaped me for the first time in my life. For the first time, my mind was not my refuge.
When my teacher, Stephen K. Hayes, first introduced me to the 5 Breath practice, I found it too easy. In the early days, I could no longer keep my focus for a single breath.
My recovery from this event has been an ongoing process. I’ve learned so much and developed many tools for handling transition and changes.
I focus on my mind because it is where everything begins. It is the seed of inspiration, of motivation, and of creation. Every dream, every poem, every lover, even every meal begins as a spark in the mind. My mind is my best friend and I owed it to it to my BFF to do everything I could to recover and emerge stronger and brighter.
I developed the Soul Garden teachings to share with you the secrets of cultivating your mind. It’s a series of exercises, coaching, and community support. We’ve all been through the worst thing we’ve ever experienced. We have moments we need to change jobs, get divorced, have children, empty our nests, have car accidents, handling the death of a parent, etc. Soul Garden helps you create your response to all the events of life increasing your personal freedom, happiness, and sphere of influence.
I hope you’ll join me in this Soul Garden program. It will help you handle all the beautiful moments life throws us. As we journey in this 8 week program, you’ll reset your energies, feel inspired, and turned on to your purpose.
If you’d like to learn more about the program, please contact me. I’ll connect in whatever way gets the ball rolling for you. Let’s talk about how I can help.
